Acorn harvesting walk<\/h2>\n

On Saturday, 29th October, there is a walk to collect acorns from Monchique oak trees, to supply the nursery for replanting the seedlings in Monchique next year. Afterwards we will lunch in a local restaurant.<\/p>\n

Meeting point: 10h00 at P\u00e9 da Cruz, in the Intermarch\u00e9 parking. Wear suitable clothing for a short walk, gloves and a cloth bag for the acorns.<\/p>\n

A Nossa Terra celebrates 20 years<\/h2>\n

On Saturday, 5th November, we will celebrate 20 years of the association. After the maintenace work in the morning, there will be a birthday lunch from 14h00. It will be a buffet at 10\u20ac per person.<\/p>\n

Transition Group \u201cMagusto\u201d Bonfire<\/h2>\n

To celebrate the fall and roast some chestnuts, the Transition Group will hold a “Magusto” at Jo\u00e3o Vila’s farm, Quinta do Pomar Grande on Sunday afternoon, 6th November, from 14h00.
\nThere will be roasted chestnuts and organic wine. Come join us!<\/p>\n

Reforest Portugal<\/h2>\n

In Portugal, the Monchique oak tree grows only at the Monchique mountains. Those with some land ready for planting or interested in planting trees can sign up for this activity through the info@anossaterra.org or 963\u00a0559\u00a0253.<\/p>\n

Planting Monchique Oaks with Grupo Flamingo<\/h2>\n

A Nossa Terra has a planting program with Monchique oak trees – Quercus Canariensis, and some other tree species. This activity will take place on the weekends of 19, 20 and 26, 27 of November.

Organic farming course<\/strong>
\nThe Monchique Agricultural Cooperative is organising a certified course in organic farming with CONFAGRI. The need 15 participants. Reuse Books for Free<\/strong>
\nThe office of Nossa Terra has a lot of books available for reuse. Come in, take what you like, and leave a donation. German\/English\/Portuguese available
